Georgia is the popular destination for cabins for rent in the state with the
mountain towns near the Appalachian Trail taking pride of place.
The undoubted top spot goes to "Alpine" Helen - a town remodelled in the 1970s to appear like a southern German settlement and now the third most visited place in Georgia after Savannah and Atlanta.
Cabins in Blairsville, on the other side of Brasstown Bald - the highest point in the state, are also sought after, with hiking in the Chattahoochee National Forest, canoeing and fishing.
Another featured area is Blue Ridge - a little further to the west with a scenic railway alongside the Toccoa River and plenty of sporting and lesiure possibilities in the countryside around the town.
Hiawassee rounds out the towns featuring cabins in the north Georgia area. Hiawassee offers mountains and the waters of the beautiful Lake Chatuge.
